ORAL CANCER SCREENING

Oral cancer screening at Dr Shirisha’s Dental Studio involves diagnosing & managing  cancers of mouth such as precancerous cysts, cancerous lesions & tumors

A visual screening is done first to spot abnormalities.

We examine your tongue & inside of the mouth for any red or white spots or sores. Feeling the tissues in your mouth for lumps or other abnormalities

Intra oral images are taken to document the appearance of any abnormality or lesion.

Oral brush biopsy.

A newer, simple technique to detect oral cancer in which, a small brush is used to gather cell samples of a suspicious area. The specimen is then sent to a laboratory for analysis.
